Abstract

People have been itching to leave Earth ever since we knew there were other places to go, that Earth was not the only show in town. It is our innate curiosity, the mystery of what is beyond the next hill or the moon or the next planet. For thousands of years humans have sought to understand the Sun, our fellow planets, and other stars. It is only now that we can, not just view, but travel to other worlds and we have done so. The last or perhaps next great adventure for the human race is to leave the only home we have ever known, Earth. It is a strong driving force and we love to solve mysteries.
