Abstract
Patients want their doctors to be polite and civil as well as competent. Tips on how to practice etiquette-based medicine, as advanced by Dr. Michael Kahn, are presented. Expanding on this concept is a look at the 25 rules of civil conduct authored by Dr. P.M. Forni. Specific examples of how these rules of conduct may be incorporated into our clinical practice are discussed.
