Abstract

WordPress was created in 2003 by Matt Mullenweg and Mark Little as a fork of the previous system: b2/cafelog. Since then, the open source system has evolved from a simple blogging platform into what is today: the most popular content management system (CMS) on the Web. More than 60% of web sites using CMSs on the Web use WordPress, and a whopping 15% of all web sites on the Web have WordPress at their core.
