Abstract

I have obtained many of my XAML skills through developing Windows Phone 7 applications. One of the biggest advantages for developers working on the Windows Phone 7 platform is the fact that Windows Phone 7 only has one resolution. Every application is built on a 480 × 800 resolution, and each and every device works only on that particular resolution. No need for us developers to keep different aspect ratios and resolutions in mind! Worst-case scenario, we implemented portrait and landscape modes, and even that is quite easy with the Visual State Manager (I’ll discuss this later in the chapter).
