Abstract
In the first decade of the twenty-first century, online and social media tools became permanent forces affecting the outcomes of elections at all levels. In the 2008 presidential election, President Obama proved this, even hiring campaign staff that included a team dedicated to social media. Yes, your campaign must have an online presence, even if it is just a homepage for your website.
