Abstract

Oracle, like any powerful software, has always carried the unfortunate stigma of being complex, unproductive, and generally difficult to use among .NET developers. Although the Oracle database is clearly a superior product, the tightly knit nature of the Microsoft SQL Server database and the .NET Framework easily made SQL Server the database of choice among developers who were given a choice between the two.
