Abstract

Not all robots move around on a flat surface; you built one robot that swings across a large pit, so building and programming a robot to ascend and descend a ramp shouldn’t be any problem, right? Well, if the robot only needed to go up the ramp and then back down, this might not be too difficult, but this challenge has a few interesting twists to it that are going to require a little more planning. Let’s once again walk through the design process and use the Design Journal worksheet to help us focus on giving this robot the best chance to successfully complete its mission.
