Abstract

While the process of developing applications for a device and desktop is similar, it is not unusual for a device developer to have far more responsibility for the environment, that is to say the operating system, directory, and file structure, than the desktop developer. Often the only reason that a user has a device is to run your application. In such a situation, your application is often solely responsible for maintaining the underlying directory and file structure.
