Abstract
The Internet Protocol (IP) is the foundation of every networked-based application in the world. The current version, Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4), has several unanticipated design issues. Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) is the next-generation protocol and resolves the design issues of IPv4.
