Validating and Formatting Data

Abstract

Flex offers a powerful built-in system to validate and format data. In the development of an application, the data validation process is a very delicate and important aspect. It facilitates effective cooperation between the data models and the objects that make up the user interface of the project. In fact, one of the most common uses of validation is actually with data models (refer to Chapter 3 for more information).
