Mobile devices provide a new platform for experiencing Augmented Reality (AR) architectural applications, and enable novel types of applications to be developed. In this chapter we review previous work in the area, suggest how it could be applied in an architectural setting, and describe promising future research directions. As AR technology is migrating to mobile phones exploring how these devices can be used to support architectural applications is increasingly important.
