The development of science and technology of Asia, mainly Japan, is briefly reviewed. The reasons are discussed why science and technology of Japan could develop after the serious damage of the Second World War. It is emphasized that Three S's, “Spirit”, “Scope“ and “Sincerity“ are important factors in order to contribute to the international community. Honesty and Diligence are essential in the work of science and technology. Originality is indispensable in the scientific works. An aspect is presented how we should step forward to the development of science and technology in Asia in the 21st century.
