Abstract
Education and training are by far the most important and efficient means for population awareness on environmental changes, pollution effects and public health related concerns. This complex activity is carried out at different levels, starting with institutionalised education by regular curricula in schools and high education institutions, or non-institutionalised training activities. For all educational and training levels there are institutions that introduced and develop programs and are granting projects by partners coming from different countries and very diverse domains. The paper presents the framework of international programs available for education and training projects, covering partnership in Europe, with emphasis on NATO and Socrates programs developed in European countries and in Transilvania University of Brasov, on environmental protection and public health subjects.
