Abstract

What any individual wants out of life is obviously unique to that person. But if guests proposing toasts at weddings, parents of new babies, and publishers of greetings cards for all manner of occasions are to be believed, there are two universal desires: for health and happiness. If we look at what these two concepts mean to different people, though, once again we find a wide variation in understanding, and consequently in expectation.
