Abstract

Sight-threatening autoimmune conditions affect different parts of the visual pathway. This chapter considers ophthalmic emergencies classified anatomically with a discussion of the underlying autoimmune diseases and treatment options. Ophthalmic complications of immunomodulatory treatments are discussed. Finally, the impact of newer immunomodulatory treatments is reviewed.
