Abstract

In this Chapter I’ll give you a brief account of the discovery of exoplanetary systems, and then describe the properties of the systems discovered so far. The next chapter considers what sort of exoplanetary systems await discovery. This will raise the question of whether undiscovered rocky-iron planets like the Earth could be present in the classical habitable zones of known exoplanetary systems.
