Abstract
The extent of the resection depends on the location of the tumor. For tumors of the cecum, the main trunk of the middle colic artery may be preserved (Fig. 2-1). For tumors of the hepatic fl exure or right transverse colon, it is necessary to ligate this vessel and resect additional colon (Figs. 2-2, 2-3).
