Abstract

Throughout this chapter let G be a compact Lie group. This chapter studies a number of function spaces on G such as the set of continuous functions on G, C(G), or the set of square integrable functions on G, L2(G), with respect to the Haar measure dg. These function spaces are examined in the light of their behavior under left and right translation by G.
