Abstract

How classical chaos manifests itself in microscopic systems where a quantum description must be used, is the subject of quantum chaos. In these lectures, I present the concepts and tools used in quantum chaos - random matrix theory, periodic orbit theory, localization theory - and show their relevance for studying complex atomic systems.
