Zusammenfassung
Die Darmwandsonographie hat bei Patienten mit chronisch entzündlichen Darmerkrankungen, Appendizitis und Peridivertikulitis sowohl für die Diagnostik als auch für die Differenzialdiagnostik und Verlaufsbeobachtung einen gesicherten Stellenwert. Die Darmwandsonographie bei Patienten mit Infektionskrankheiten des Gastrointestinaltraktes ist dagegen bisher nur unzureichend in Studien untersucht und validiert worden.
