Zusammenfassung
Die neutropene Kolitis wurde 1930 erstmalig in der Literatur erwähnt und ist eine entzündliche, nekrotisierende Erkrankung des Ileozökalpols, deren Ätiologie und Pathogenese bisher nicht eindeutig geklärt ist. Häufig liegt eine Sekundärinfektion vor (z. B. mit Clostridien, v. a. Clostridium septicum).
