Abstract

Temporal bone tumours are rare entities and when encountered on cross sectional imaging, can be diagnostically challenging. Imaging plays a key role in diagnosis, treatment planning and follow-up of these tumours. Imaging evaluation of temporal bone tumours requires careful assessment of location, imaging characteristics and tumour extent. This chapter provides an overview of the most common tumours of the temporal bone with respect to anatomical location, typical imaging appearances and patterns of spread.
