Abstract
The paramagnetic-ferromagnetic hybrid structure with a Curie temperature above room temperature formed by metallic MnAs clusters embedded in a semiconducting GaAs:Mn host matrix is a promising system for spintronic applications. In this chapter we present the results of detailed studies of the magnetooptical as well as the galvano-magnetic properties of the paramagnetic matrix, of the ferromagnetic clusters and of their interplay in the hybrid system.
