Zusammenfassung

Diese relativ seltene Erkrankung, die in größeren Zeitabständen in lokal begrenzten Epidemien auftritt, wird durch ein makulo-papulöses, stark zur Konfluenz neigendes, in seiner Morphe als pathognomonisch angesehenes Exanthem charakterisiert. Virologisch ist diese Infektion noch ungenügend erforscht, so daß ihre Abgrenzung gegenüber anderen exanthematischen Erkrankungen auf rein klinischen Kriterien beruht.
