Abstract
This paper presents a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-based virtual cystoscopy system, which extracts the bladder wall from T1-weighted MR images where the wall is enhanced while the urine and surrounding fat tissues are suppressed by a fully non-invasive imaging procedure. The system analyzes the extracted wall and detects abnormal features automatically. Test results are encouraging by FROC (free response receiver operating characteristic) merit.
