Abstract
I do not know why I was selected for this honor; a book and a symposium both dedicated to me. Why me when so many others seem more worthy? But having been selected, I want first to express my deep gratitude and appreciation to those who decided to pay this quite extraordinary tribute to my work - the organizers, Roger Enoka, Simon Gandevia, Alan McComas, Douglas Stuart, and Christine Thomas. I do not know how they first got this idea, but I thank them for it more than I can say.
