Influence of contact adaptability on the fretting of motionless joints

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

The contact interaction of parts in immobile joints during cyclic loading is considered. A relation-ship between the fretting and the contact adaptability of the joint is established, and the role of the microrelief on the interacting surfaces is determined.
