Abstract

This article presents the main technical solutions for electrical transmission of a tractor. The tractor electric drive is based on a switched-reluctance electric drive. The structure of electromechanical transmission is reviewed. Modelling of the main operation modes of the electric drive and calculation of its basic parameters were carried out in the MathCad and MATLAB programs. To verify the electric drive parameters taking into account the general and local saturation of the electromechanical transducer magnetic system, the Ansys software package was used. It is shown that the constructed electric drive has weight-size parameters that are 30–50% better than in the case of a traditional induction motor drive. The same parameters can be achieved on the base of the field regulated reluctance machine drive with retention of qualities that are important to consumers.
