Abstract
Terahertz generation when focusing two-frequency femtosecond laser pulses with various polarization states in air at atmospheric pressure is studied. The density of the photocurrent appearing during tunnel ionization under identical conditions is also calculated. The calculated and experimental data are in good agreement.
