Abstract

The paper considers the problem of determining the similarity between crystal lattices in the three-dimensional space. We have developed a method based on evaluation of six basic unit cell parameters for each lattice and computation of their similarity measure. By using the method, a computational experiment on extensive comparison of primitive lattice models for all possible lattice systems was carried out and the detailed analysis of the experimental results is presented in the paper.
