Abstract

This paper presents the results of investigating the structure, the combustibility, and the basic physical and mechanical properties of sealing ethylene-propylene-diene monomer rubber specimens filled with flame retardants such as aluminum and magnesium hydroxides of different dispersity. It is shown that an increase in the flame-retardant particle size causes a change in the structure and the properties of the rubbers and increases their combustibility.
