Influence of lanthanum content and annealing temperature on the size and magnetic properties of sol–gel derived Y1 − x La x FeO3 nanocrystals

  • Published:
Inorganic Materials Aims and scope

Abstract

Y1 − x La x FeO3 (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4) nanocrystals have been prepared by a sol-gel process. With increasing lanthanum content (x from 0 to 0.4), their size decreases significantly (from 34 to 16 nm), whereas their magnetization increases. Raising the annealing temperature increases their size.
