Abstract
Based on the analysis of skull and postcranial morphology, the species Clupea doljeana Kramberger, 1884, Illusionella tsurevica Baykina, 2012, and I. pshekhensis Baykina, 2012 are transferred to the genus Sarmatella Menner, 1949. Emended descriptions of Clupea doljeana Kramberger, 1884 and Sarmatella vukotinovici (Kramberger, 1884) are provided. The genus Illusionella Baykina, 2012 is synonymized under Sarmatella Menner, 1949.
