Addressing racism and discrimination in the workplace: lessons from the University of Birmingham Dental School

Abstract

In 2020 the Black Lives Matter movement took the world by storm, bringing inequality to the forefront of our attention. Many people found themselves harbouring an urge to contribute to change. Dental students at the University of Birmingham were no exception. This article aims to take the reader through the work carried out by our dental students, and by doing so inspire the reader to implement changes in their own workplace.
