Abstract

The pulsed optical radiation from the Crab pulsar has a characteristic and well determined profile. As the pulsar is comparatively young, the slope of this profile may be expected to change appreciably within only a few years. Our observations over an interval of 7yr show that any such changes are surprisingly small, amounting to <1% of the peak pulse intensity.
