Abstract
Two new species of Pongidae, assigned to a new subgenus of Dryopithecus, are here described for the first time. These assignations are based mainly on new specimens discovered recently in Kenya, but some other specimens1,2 are reassigned to the hypodigms of the new species. A more complete revision of the African early Miocene dryopithecines is in preparation.
