Abstract
ELONGATED fatty acids in the brain are of interest because they are thought to contribute to membrane stability and cohesiveness1,2. Using a technique similar to that described by Aeberhard and Menkes3, the developmental pattern of fatty acid elongation was assessed in the rat brain4.
