Catecholamine Chemical Species at the Adrenergic Receptors

Abstract

The quinone methide intermediate could be the characteristic species for a beta adrenergic agonist. For the alpha adrenergic agonists the characteristic catecholamine seems to be an aziridine, an internally cyclized quinone methide derivative.
