Induction of Deciduomata in the Mouse by Carbon Dioxide

Abstract

THE decidual cell reaction, usually associated with an implanting blastocyst, can be artificially induced in the mouse by the intraluminal injection of air on the fourth day of pseudopregnancy (my unpublished work). This response might be simply the result of uterine distension or of a constituent of air.
