Abstract

CYTOLOGICAL damage to the haematopoietic system in mammals induced by radiation is manifested by cellular interphase death, chromosome aberrations, reproduction killing, and a decrease in cell number. In this communication an attempt has been made to estimate the role of these changes in the development of the acute radiation syndrome. Some results have already been published1.
