Pulse Radiolysis Investigations of Unimolecular Elimination Reactions in Free Radicals produced by OH Addition to Hydroxybenzenes

Abstract

DURING the course of the experimental research programmes in pulse radiolysis carried out independently at the Mount Vernon Hospital and the Paterson Laboratories, a new series of unimolecular free radical decomposition reactions has been observed. Some of the separate findings have been combined and are summarized in this introductory communication.
