Abstract
A SERIES of experiments carried out by Glueckauf and Kitt in the 1950s (ref. 1) showed that hydrogen was present in the atmosphere to the extent of about 0.6 parts per million by volume, and that the concentration was not constant. It was not clear whether or not the variations were correlated with meteorological conditions.
