Abstract

WE are at present investigating the mechanisms of fading of the blue dyes which, when applied to wool, form the Standards for the Society of Dyers and Colourists International Blue Wool Scale for Light Fastness1. This communication concerns only one of them, namely, Colour Index (C.I.) Acid Blue 83 (C.I. No. 42660) used for light fastness standard three.
