Abstract
IN the literature several indications of the existence of directed chemical bonds between organic halogen compounds and molecules containing atoms like nitrogen, oxygen or sulphur may be found. Results arrived at during the past few years concerning the structure of addition compounds formed by halogen molecules and molecules of the latter type1 made it appear desirable to determine the structures also of molecular compounds formed by halides.
