A Growth Inhibitor of L. bulgaricus 09

Abstract

WHILE assaying skim-milk powder samples for orotic acid using L. bulgaricus 09, by the method of Wright et al. 1, the presence of a substance inhibitory to the growth of this organism was detected in samples which had been stored at 60° C. for six months.
