Abstract

THE title of Swami Akhilananda's book is misleading to the Western reader. It is not quite clear what he means by Hindu psychology. A clue is given in Prof. Brightman's introduction in which he says “The purpose of this book is not to lead him to substitute Indian Psychology for Christianity or Judaism”. Hindu psychology is, then, something which could take the place of a religion.
