Abstract

Investigating at different temperatures the spectrum of second-order scattering of crystals of the alkali-halide salts, we have detected some new peculiarities in the intensity distributions. The region of small frequencies of the spectrum of second-order scattering depends far more strongly on the temperature than the region of large frequencies. The photographs and the microphotometrical curves of the spectrum of scattering of the rock-salt crystal obtained by us at 250° C. and 700° C., and reproduced in Figs. 1a and b, confirm this statement.
