Abstract
The theory of the photo-disintegration of the deuteron1 indicates that the process should be predominantly due to photo-electric transitions for γ-ray energies considerably greater than the threshold energy (2·18 MeV.). The angular distribution of the protons emitted in such transitions should be represented by the function
