Abstract
THE fact that the hæmoglobin within red muscle is a substance different from the hæmoglobin in the circulation, has now been definitely established. The pigment has been isolated and prepared in a crystalline condition by Theorell1, and measurements by Svedberg showed a molecular weight of half that of the blood pigment.
