Abstract
IN NATURE of October 31, 1895, Sir George Darwin, in a letter on “barisàl guns”, “mist pouffers”, and allied noises, desires all those hearing such to record them from time to time. Recently an instance, which may be of this nature, came under my notice, the only apparent difference being that it was a single noise, and was not repeated several times.
